SWT/JFace are the pendants of AWT/Swing in the Sun world, except that the look and feel is not emulated but directly plugged on OS native widgets, ie win32 in Windows world , and for instance GTK and COCOA for respectivelly Linux and MacOSX worlds. You can also find information here.
Comments:From kalman - 3/10/05 8:26 AM From kalman - 3/10/05 8:25 AM Check out a nice SWT Tutorial @ http://www.zikal.com/ From Scott Gartner [156.153.254.10] - 9/7/04 5:36 PM The page that is linked to titled, "Why SWT and JFace?" is really only "Why SWT" when you get there. There is still a need for a "Why JFace?" article (which is what I was looking for, in fact).
From 80.170.255.32 - 5/28/04 5:33 AM This done ;) You have to put information in it now ;)
regards , Xavier From Benjamin Pasero [217.66.50.58] - 5/28/04 5:01 AM Hi, great page!. I suggest to extend the SWT section to provide links to applications that use SWT. See "Games and Applications" on the SWT Community Page: http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/%7Echeckout%7E/platform-swt-home/external.html Regards, Ben From Xavier Mehaut [213.103.91.23] - 5/26/04 10:46 AM You can find the java doc here :(extracted from the SWT faq)
From Alan O Creaser alainlecur@yahoo.com [67.86.206.19] - 5/26/04 10:35 AM This is great, but all I wanted is the SWT javadoc!?
